Royal Naval Air Service - Armoured Car Section.

Formed in 1914 with the role of Securing Lines of Communication in France and recovering downed Aircrew from behind enemy lines. Manned by Officers and Ratings from the Royal Navy and equiped with Rolls-Royce armoured cars, they expanded quickly and by November 1916 had become the Armoured Car Division. They saw service throughout many WW1 theatres and by 1916 had become part of the Machine Gun Corps Heavy Branch (Later Tank Corps).  

A 100% Genuine, Bronzed/Blackened-metal Collar Badge to the "Royal Naval Air Service, Armoured Car Section". In Superb Used Condition. Original lug fittings intact!

A Scarce Original Badge.

Measures Approx 42 x 48 mm.
